Siim has researched autophagy and longevity extensively. He has combined his research and his personal experience into a one of a kind book. It would take dozens of other books and websites to combine this information. If you want to get to the nitty gritty of autophagy, health, longevity; This is the book.

What I liked about this book is the detailed information on all aspects of health and fitness and diet. Cutting edge science and research involved with health span and lifespan. He listed the many sources of health problems which basically are all from inflammation in your body and typically it’s what you eat that induces most disease. He even suggested the best test is CRP test you can have your Dr order to determine your inflammation levels. I am very interested in this topic and reading this book was incredibly easy and all encompassing. In my opinion the author is incredibly educated on these subjects. This is the best book I have ever read. He goes into proper eating patterns to optimize weight loss and muscle building. The best supplements for mind body health. A detailed description of foods you can eat on the keto diet and foods you should avoid that cause inflammation and illness. He listed many reasons why the healthcare system is chasing its tail on some information they put out. As soon as I receive this book in the mail I couldn’t put it down until I was completely finished with it. Completely rational and high quality nutrient-rich food for thought and application into everyone's lives This kind of book can save lives and add years to a person's longevity as well as quality of life. Wish I had known these principles and had the practical insights and solid practical way of living, and eating (and even resting/sleeping-for-health) when I was a young man. Wow. It's time for us humans to "get with it" and take it to the next ontological level... we're tardy to the invitation. I come to Siim's book after seeing many of his youtube videos. Much of what he talks about in his videos he goes over in detail in his book. Reading his book on the computer gives me access to words i need to understand the science he talks about. Plus he is teaching you how to understand the science like mTOR and AMPK... building up the body and taking out the trash during autophagy are key topics. SIIM also goes into in detail how to workout to build muscle safely while doing different kinds of IF (intermittent fasting) He answered many of my questions on how hard i can work out and helped me form a better plan with IF and hard style kung fu workouts. Thanks Siim!!

Very well researched. Credible. Much too much medical jargon for normal folks. I learned a lot but the book would be more useful without so much meaningless (to me) medical terminology.

Siim Land is a pioneer in the study of Metabolic Autophagy. He generously shares what he has learned via You Tube and social media, free. He's a free spirit as well, without sponsors to bow-down-to by advertising their products., unlike many of the ketosis gurus. This book has 50 pages of references! I had a question about thyroid function while fasting and couldn't find the particular answer online, and then I remembered Siim's book and knew it would be there. It was. This is a very well-researched reference on autophagy in the human body and how to achieve it for a longer, healthier life. Thank you for this resource, a 533 page 7"x10" SUBSTANTIAL paperback. Autophagy is a complicated subject but this book breaks it down in easy to understand terms.

Another home run. Really good read. I do recommend watching his YouTube Channel because it will help you understand the book a little better. This guy really knows what he is talking about. Don’t let his age fool you.

He has been assigned this task by Origins Recovery Center in South Padre Island, Texas, as Director of Psychology and Brain Plasticity. Based on consistent research which shows that addicts get better the longer they stay in treatment, regardless of what treatment they receive, lays support that the brain healing time is critical, so his focus is on increasing the healing potential of the healing through such opportunities as hyperbaric chambers, vitamin and anti-inflammatory approaches, breathing patterns, neuron-biofeedback, imagery, exercises, and sonic stimulation with music. He has already produced several CDs of sonic rhythms consistent with his work in PTSD that are available specific to this regard, along with applications from biofeedback, specific brain stimulation and musical stimulations. These models have been discussed in his book, Retraining the Brain. Having served on five prestigious medical school faculties in the Departments of Psychiatry, Orthopedic Surgery, and Rehabilitation Medicine and five graduate psychology faculties, he has blazed new studies and approaches in the care of patients with chronic and acute pain, cancer and psychosomatic problems. The Medical Schools he served were New York Medical Center (1967-68), Texas Tech Medical School (1973-75), Universities of Texas Health Center (UTHC) at San Antonio (1975-76), UTHC at Dallas (1979-89) and Stanford Medical School (1991-93).

By far the most useful book on it’s topic. Well written. Very logically laid out. My hard copy is dogeared and highlighted. Only problem: Like Google, Amazon evolves constantly and has moved past some of the things in this book. I look forward to reviewing the authors’ updates to this material in due course. For those interested in selling on the Amazon Marketplace this is a great, instructive read, particularly around the pros and cons of various distribution strategies available on the channel, with insight into the many challenges brands may face, including actual seller examples.

As Amazon continues to change the retail landscape worldwide, budding online entrepreneurs like me, with meager resources can now seize the opportunity to market to the world (as we sit in front of our computers at our home office). While it was not even technically possible decades ago, Amazon made it all possible. But the hurried pace that this online selling revolution is morphing into, is so dizzying -it is hard for most of us to keep up and make selling in Amazon a viable sustainable venture. About the Author

Siân Pritchard-Jones and Bob Gibbons met in 1983, on a trek from Kashmir to Ladakh. By then Bob had already driven an ancient Land Rover from England to Kathmandu (in 1974), and overland trucks across Asia, Africa and South America. He had also lived in Kathmandu for two years, employed as a trekking company manager. Before they met, Siân worked in computer programming and systems analysis, but was drawn to the Himalaya en route from working in New Zealand. Since then they have been leading and organising treks in the Alps, Nepal and the Sahara, as well as driving a bus overland to Nepal. Journeys by a less ancient (only 30-year-old) Land Rover from England to South Africa provided the basis for several editions of the Bradt guide Africa Overland, including the sixth edition published in May 2014. In Kathmandu they previously worked with Pilgrims Publishing, producing cultural guides - Kathmandu: Valley of the Green-Eyed Yellow Idol and Ladakh: Land of Magical Monasteries - and a historical look at the Guge Kingdom, Kailash: Land of the Tantric Mountain. In 2007 they wrote the Cicerone guide to Mount Kailash and Western Tibet, as well updating the Grand Canyon guide. During 2011 they returned to Tibet, this time driving the same old Land Rover back from Kathmandu to the UK overland via Lhasa, through China, Kazakhstan, Russia and Western Europe. Their Annapurna trekking guide was published by Cicerone in January 2013, with the second edition in February 2017. For Himalayan Map House they are writing a series of trekking guidebooks (Himalayan Travel Guides) covering the newly developing Great Himalaya Trail. So far their publications include a guide to Manaslu and the Tsum Valley (second edition); Upper and Lower Dolpo; Ganesh Himal (Tamang Heritage Trail); Everest; Langtang, Gosainkund & Helambu (Tamang Heritage Trail); Rolwaling & Gauri Shankar (Lapche, Bigu & Tashi Lapcha); Mustang; Kanchenjunga; Makalu; and Nepal Himalaya, covering all of the above and most of the Himalayan range. A faithful hound named Kanchi followed them to Makalu Base Camp and wrote her own book entitled Kanchi's Tale, also in colour, B&W and Kindle. They were in Nepal in May 2015 and have also published an account of what happened (and didn't happen) after the earthquakes in Earthquake Diaries: Nepal 2015. Also available are their autobiography In Search of the Green-Eyed Yellow Idol, a pictorial guide to the Horn of Africa, and a trekking guide Australia: Red Centre Treks.

This "installment" of this never ending Soap Opera begins with a 5★ BANG. Twenty two year old Avery Stanz is a survivor. She's strong, cunning, and intelligent. She doesn't seem to lose her head easily with all the angst, stress and desperation she's feeling. She feels as if she has to fight for everything...even for every breath she takes. She's oh so tired! She's been betrayed by her two best friends as well as her love interest which just about traumatized her. She can be humorous, and spunky with a little sass. It's amazing that she can still laugh with what she's faced...but she can and does although lately, she's not even smiling much anymore. Going to school on a Scholarship she's about to lose - Avery is beyond desperate and her desperation makes her vulnerable. She's completely alone in the world and she needs money....fast. Beyond exhausted with her life hanging by a thread, she's offered an unscrupulous job that she cannot refuse. The money is just too good to pass up. Avery is defiant and she refuses to give up...she'll do whatever she must to stay afloat. She only wants her life to be stable again...is that too much to ask?But now she's realized that she's too soft hearted for this unscrupulous job. It's destroying her. Nevertheless she refuses to be anything other than her own boss (not become Sean's "kept woman") and finish school.Sean Ferro (age??...anyone??)...has become a cold, ruthless, calculating man. He's broken, hollow, callous ...and wealthy. He suffers from a tragedy that took his wife & child, and he suffers every day from fathomless pain to the point that he's become numb to emotion. He lives in daily torment. A never ending nightmare.Sean doesn't "do" relationships. He's become a man fearful of intimacy. He has a grim, sexual fetish....he likes to inflict fear into his partner(s). It's a turn on. Sean Ferro wants Avery in a sexual way she's not accustomed (actually she's not really accustomed to anything sexually...she's a "newbie") But for Sean Ferro, it's the type of gratification that he needs. He doesn't want to lose her yet he doesn't want to put her through his type of sexual fetishes. He's one messed up puppy. Sean has a few other emotional issues as well...but he's finally opened up to Avery & has shared essential parts of his past. Even though his feelings are "all over the map", he admits that he's fallen in love with Avery.This is the 8th installment of this tediously slow moving, albeit well told, plot....this plot that creeeeeps along at a snails pace...and I'm STILL wondering WHAT does Avery look like! I mean, am I the only person questioning the color of her eyes, or how tall she is??....how "dark" is her hair...it's long enough to go into a pony tail...but HOW LONG is it????? In one chapter we find out she has bangs (thank you for that driveling piece of info Ms. Ward). I guess we're supposed to surmise by the cover picts. that are chosen, huh?The Author takes few scenes from the previous book and breaks them down in THIS book...add's a few "dum-dum-duuuuum" moments...and then ends it, leaving the reader once again hanging. Of course ya gotta buy the next 90 pages for $2.99 to read the next few very short chapters, only to be left hanging again. I've noticed the first book came out Jan. of 2013... It's been over a year with this stupidity and it's not finished yet?? I don't know who's the bigger loser; certainly not this author for taking advantage of and scamming her readers....it's me for falling for this Soap Opera. Maybe since I came late to this party, I should skip to the most current "novellita"...hmmmm...how many have been written by now...?? I'm sure I wouldn't miss much in between. I'm giving this installment 4★'s, because it's told well, (which is what a review is all about). I can say without any doubts...I will not purchase from this author again.

These books are a horrible waste of time and money- Please do not get suckered into starting to read them. They do suck you in by making you think "Oh, it's just $2.99." But it's $2.99 for very badly written books that will never end because the author is stringing readers along for their $2.99.There will never be a solid resolution to the plot!!The characters are undeveloped with no real redeeming qualities past the first 2 books.The plots are unbelievable & tired.She coasts through a book only to give a strong cliffhanger hook in the plot at the end (to get your $2.99 when the next chapter comes out). & the sex isn't that great.Money wise:there are 14 books (so far) the average page length is 128 pages per "book". This count does not include the very many pages (about 20 in my reading) per book of previews for her other 'books'.The cost is $2.99 each- that's $41.86 for all 14.I've read 2 of her other 'series' as well and they are exactly the same as these. The characters are the same & the plots are the same, with the same cliffhanger ending to keep you coming back.I got very tired of paying just to see if the story would end in this ‘chapter’. And I’m mad that I wasted my money.I consider what this woman does to be criminal. Like a crack dealer.I wish Amazon would outlaw this kind of 'serial writing'.

This is one of my favorite serials ever. It’s sexy, sassy, funny and dark.This serial belongs to the dark and brooding Sean Ferro. He’s the first Ferro I was introduced to, and he holds a piece of my heart. As the series start out, Sean is very mysterious, and to be honest – 15 volumes in (when I’m writing this review), he still is a bit of an enigma. There is still a lot to be learned. He’s a dark SOB, this one. He’s got his fetishes, but holy wow is he delicious. And scary. Seriously, I love him – but if I had known him IRL I would have been scared s***less, and kept my distance.Then we have Avery. This girl’s got some spunk. I mean she has to, given that Sean is her love interest. She’s a struggling student when we first meet her, and when her best friend, Mel, realizes this, she reveals what her REAL job is. She’s a high dollar call girl. Ms. Black latches on to Avery immediately, and if Avery just takes one client, it could solve all her problems. She only has to say yes. Problem is she only wants one guy, Sean. Enter: a s***load of trouble.“I’m rewarded, uh, I mean punished, with a slap to my backside.” - AveryThis is an erotic romance, and you can expect some mighty steamy scenes. Some of the volumes more so than others, because there is a hell of a lot going on in this series. The Arrangement, and Sean basically, was the catalyst for all the other books from this same world. Sean has made an appearance is in every spin-off so far. So this is obviously a great place to start if you are curious about H.M. Ward’s books. Just remember to start at the beginning. You would not understand half of what’s going on if you jumped into it halfway through.It’s important to note that this is a fan driven series. Essentially that means that as long as the fans want more, there will be more. And I honestly can’t picture the day we won’t want more. So if that is not for you, I recommend you go pick up something else, because this story has been going on for a good while now, and I certainly hope it will go on for a long time to come – as long as Holly wants it to.Another important note is that these are split up in volumes, and each one end on a cliffhanger (Holly is the queen of cliffhangers). It’s nerve-wracking every time. And it is one of the tings that keep it just as exciting as it was in the beginning. As well as the fact that they’re always fast paced, and it never gets boring. Each volume starts off exactly where the last one left off. I always like to re-read the latest volume before the next one releases because you really get thrown right back into the action without any recaps. It really is kind of built like a TV-show, which is so awesome, because something like that is currently in the works! *fangirls* Just Imagine seeing THE Sean Ferro on screen…

Arguably the best guide to the area covered: the Okavango Delta, Chobe, and Northern Kalahari. The 3rd edition remains fairly up to date in most aspects, although black rhinos have been introduced since its publication. Coverage of accommodations is accurate and thorough but be aware that, for those wishing to include the Victoria Falls in their itinerary, the final chapter details accommodations there only for Livingstone, Zambia, rather than Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe.

Bought this for the plane ride (all 37 hours of it) to South Africa, hitting Botswana and Zambia after a week in SA. The beauty of this book is that it covers the latter two. VERY well written, it breaks up Botswana into the various concessions, and then covers each thoroughly. Lots of photos, lots of tips/tricks.Two downsides:- it's rather heavy for an airplane book. That said, it's worth it.- it completely fails to capture the incredible beauty of Botswana. But then, it's a book. 'nuff said.HIGHLY recommended for those embarking on this journey.

This guide was awesome! I used it everyday to help me understand what to expect, and help in identifying animals and areas we got to visit. When you go,take this as a reference book and you won't be disapointed.

This guide is everything you can hope in Bradt. Very detailed, with drive by drive directions for driving and also great recomendations for lodges across the spectrum. If you aren't doing a tour, or you are driving yourself, this is the clear winner amongst african guide companies and the Botswana guide has great information on BOTH Chobe park AND Victoria Falls.

This is an amazing book particularly for someone planning their own safari. We are going on a small group safari but if we are ever charged by an elephant we will know what to do! Great maps of each camp area. We have two other books but this really is the only one we needed.

Definitely the book you need if making a self planned safari. Great reading for everyone else. tells what you will see in different areas and a lot more.

Too much info & commentary crammed in. Hard to follow & read. The book needs a good dose of editing and re-organization.

The Bradt Safari Guide of Botswana is an excellent easy to read book on Botswana. It gives an up to date review of what to bring, what to wear and what to see. In addition there are reviews of hotels,camping grounds and even rental cars. Also the maps are excellent. The traveller will find the guide extremely useful. Ibought mine at Amazon and got a great price
