This is a great book full of projects many of us who have taken classes from Sarah have wanted to learn. I have been lucky enough to have taken classes from Sarah for seven years. I am use to her photographs for her tutorials so some of the drawings confused me a bit. I worked it out. With classes and the book I have done all the tutorials in this book. Yes it can be done! I am posting a few photos. The Tempest Clasp isn’t there other than in other projects. I must have been given it to a friend.This book well worth getting. The projects are intermediate to advance but there is so much information that any level could use. A must have book for the wire weaver.
I love Sarah Thompson’s jewelry and have been waiting for the follow-up to her first book for a long time. It did not disappoint. The designs are beautiful and the chapter on how to mix elements from several designs to create new pieces is very helpful and makes the lessons extremely versatile.It’s not a book for beginners but there are plenty of those around. This is a book for people who have already tried making wire jewelry and want to expand their knowledge of technique and creating and combining design elements. In this respect the book is truly unique and very welcome.I preferred the step by step photographs from the first book more than the drawings in this one, but it was probably easier to make the steps clear through drawings, so I understand the decision.I wanted to buy the paper book but it was out of stock for over a month on amazon UK so I opted for the kindle version which I can see on my ipad. Not ideal but it works for now.
Third project in and I have had to basically rewrite the book. Measurements are off, instructions do not follow example pictures. It asks you to form already work hardened metals in ways that result in breakage. The weaving patterns are poorly explained. Diagrams for critical steps are missing. The diagrams showing steps are not workable and do not match her finished example pieces. This book is a mess.
Loved Sara's work from her Etsy shop. So excited to be able to see how she does it all! Complete directions and great pics. Lots of tips to be successful. I've done one pendant and a clasp and will continue on this journey thanks to Sarah!

This book has helped me take my jewelry creations the next level! I had been using craft wire for my pieces but took the advice in the book to invest in .999 fine silver. What a difference in not only working with the wire but also the finished pieces. The picture is one of the designs I tried from the book. I’m hooked!
