I actually purchased four different MAT preparation books, and by far this is the worst one.First, the explanation of the MAT and the different questions that you will encounter in the test is not as thorough as the other books.Second, it does not include any sort of material to help you study the variety of subjects covered by the MAT like the other books do.Third, out of twelve practice tests, I have only taken the first one and in that test alone I found four mistakes and typos that they made. That doesn't bode well for the other practice tests.All in all, the other MAT preparation books are a lot better, so there is no use in wasting your money with this product like I did. Kaplan seems to be the best. The REA and McGraw-Hill's are close seconds. Get those; don't get this one.

I really can't rate this books as I changed my mind about graduate school.

I am about 50 questions into the first practice test and have encountered 2-3 legitimate errors, ones that affect your score. For instance, q49, test1 is Mt. Elbrus: Europe::Mt McKinley (a. Unites States b. Canada c. Australia d. North America)The answer incorrectly cites United States as correct answer in 2 ways, but goes on to explain that Mt. Elbrus is highest peak in Europe and Mt. McKinley is highest peak in *North America*.Good thing I am only borrowing this from a library because it is becoming frustrating to use.

There is no real advice and the majority of the book is practice tests. This would be acceptable if the explanations were actually helpful. There is no explanation as to why the other choices are wrong and some of the explanations make no sense. For example, one item is 52:33::25:27 and the explanation is: "52=25 and 33=27." Helpful, huh? Kaplan and Barron's are better choices.

There are really no books for describing the SAP Script and this is the only book which describes in detail the complex for technology of SAP. If you are looking for a thorough introduction in SAP Script, then I would strongly recommend you this book.

If you have no SAPscript knowledge it is a very good point to start, but nothing more. I like to learn more about exchanging information between ABAP program and SAPscript form (eg. Perform from SAPscript), tips and tricks, etc. Althought it has just a basic staff I like the way it is written - very clearly.

I bought the book as a reference. I found that it was little better than reading the online documentation. If you can get to the help then you don't need this book.

We are on a newer version of SAP, so I had to adapt some of the screen shots. It's easy to understand. The tutorials and code examples were helpful.

This book is much better than the SAP Script made easy 4.0b. I learned so much that I strongly recommend every ABAP programmer to own one.

Actually ordered the wrong book but was able to sell it to an interested party.The cover plastic (that comprises the actual cover page) was warped on front and back but the contents inside were in great shape. For the price was well worth it.

As you can probably guess from the title of the book, this presents almost 4,000 covers from Marvel Comics published between July, 1961 (shortly before the first appearance of the "Fantastic Four" ushered in the Marvel Age of Comics) and 1986, thus providing a span of 25 years. In some cases, titles are continued to 1988 or 1990 (this book was originally published in 1991).This is the second of two volumes and presents titles beginning from "Kazar" to "the Uncanny X-Men." "Captain America" is in this volume, because his first series of the Marvel Age began in "Tales of Suspense" which eventually became his own title. For the same reason, "the Mighty Thor" is not (because he premiered in "Journey into Mystery" and kept the numbering). Thus "Thor" covers appear in volume 1: A through J.Nearly every issue published between those two dates is shown, but there are exceptions. There are no magazines (like "Epic Illustrated" or "Crazy") or foreign reprints. Western titles are shown, but not always in their entirety. There's only a handful of teen books presented. Some titles are truncated; covers for "Strikeforce Morituri" issues one through four are shown, issues 5 to 31 are not.In addition to the cover photos, Gerber also assigns an RVI ("relative value index") to every issue, shown or not. This was a tool designed to give people an idea of an issue's cash value, not only when this book was published but for several years to come.An index of titles and artists that appear in both books appears in this volume. Growing up with Mister Rogers always playing in the background I always found myself intrigued by his message. I started watching as a child, at breakfast before catching the bus in my middle school years, and his show became a part of my daily lessons while I was home schooled 8-11th grade my morning agenda would be to do a synopsis on his daily report. While reading this book the feelings of nostalgia rushed back and it made me think of all the wonderful teachings I would love to have for my son who is now 3. I picked up this book and I couldn't put it down. It only took me about 45 minutes to make it through and I probably would have made it through sooner if I wasn't busy bookmarking my favorite pages. For all adults who want to be hit with "the feels" or for young adults who simply want something to read with a cup of tea or coffee, this is the book. I waited years before I finally bought the series and I can say it is something I will read over and over - after a rough day or after an amazing day. It gives you all of the feelings of what a wonderful life it can be. With that being said I will leave you with my favorite message from this book.“Love is like infinity: You can't have more or less infinity, and you can't compare two things to see if they're "equally infinite." Infinity just is, and that's the way I think love is, too.”- Fred Rogers

As the host of the longest running PBS show in history, Fred Rogers inspired entire generations of viewers with messages of love and wisdom. He didn’t have one mean bone in his body. He wasn’t judgmental. He knew that every child had importance, every child had potential, and every child was deserving of love. By the same token, every hurtful thing we do to another person will be remembered as well. Be careful with your words and actions. Be a positive influence on a child’s life. We take all of these experiences when we grow up and they help us develop our adult personalities, for better or worse. Everything you do matters more than you think. It may not seem like a big deal, but to another human being, it means the world. Don’t be hateful. Don’t be bitter. Be the best possible example of yourself you can be.And finally, another favorite part of this book is the fable Mister Rogers tells of the carpenter who refused to hire an apprentice because he won’t admit to making mistakes and therefore won’t know how to fix them when he does. Making mistakes is a natural part of the human experience, no matter how good of a person you may be. Even Mister Rogers made mistakes in his life that he ended up turning into valuable life lessons. Strength doesn’t come from perfect muscles or superhero abilities. It comes from being able to admit your weaknesses and working to make them into strengths. I just finished registering the book and downloading the free lessons. I had no trouble with any of it, and I am not a computer specialist. The book was in perfect condition when it arrived. The book is well organized, with the steps for each procedure indented and numbered. There are many illustrations, both of the picture being worked on and the corresponding icons/sliders, etc. in Photoshop. I just have to find the time to take advantage of all the bounty!

This book requires downloads from Peachpit/Pearson so you need to register on their site. After attempting to register they ask you to enter the 5th word of the first line of step 3 in Chapter 4 of the book. There is no "Step 3" so no download is possible. They do not have telephone support, only contact via a message on their site. You leave the message, get an acknowledgement, but no response.

I needed this book for a college class. It walks you through design step by step but doesn't explain much. It's easy to follow but I feel like I'm learning a shallow version of PS. It's easy to follow and is loaded with pictures.

This book covers basic to advanced features of Photoshop CC 2019.

About the Author

David Bourg is a Naval Architect involved in various military and commercial proposal, design, and construction efforts. Since 1998, David has served as an independent consultant working for various regional clients engaged in both commercial and military shipbuilding where he provides design and analysis services including but not limited to concept design, proposal writing, detailed design and analysis, visualization, and software development among other services. He coordinated and led the winning design and proposal effort for the US Coast Guard Point Class (patrol boat) Replacement Program. In 2006, David joined fellow Naval Architect Kenneth Humphreys to form MiNO Marine, LLC, a naval architecture and marine professional services firm.In addition to Physics for Game Developers, David has published two other books. He earned a PhD in Engineering and Applied Science in 2008 from the University of New Orleans. He has served as an Adjunct Professor at the University of New Orleans School of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, where he has taught various courses since 1993.Ever since his father read A Brief History of Time to him in middle school, Bryan Bywalec wanted to be an astrophysicist. While he will always have a passion for pure physics, he became more and more obsessed in high school with the application of those physical principles he was learning. Having been around sailboats his entire life, his decision to seek a degree in Naval Architecture at the University of New Orleans surprised few.While working on his degree, Mr. Bywalec was employed as a network administrator for the College of Engineering. Great book. I deduct a star because I wish there was more in the chapter that I bought this for. That is, the section on MEMS really only covers accelerometers.

Awesome book, gets to the core of physics without too much detail

Though this book was well written and is very dense full of information I was not able to make very much use of it. I havent done any claculus since college many years ago and I was hoping this book would take me step by step on how to do physics for game development. This book is for people who already have a good understanding of calculus and are already pretty strong in math. I couldn't make it past the second chapter with the complicated stuff in this book. I guess I need to refresh my calc skills before going back to this book

Admittedly, I am not the brightest person on the earth (there is a reason I bought this book after all..) I wish I had this book years ago. I love it; all 12670 pages of it. Especially the part on Digital Physics whish is so important to game development today. I highly recommend this book to everyone, particularly game developers.

I have several physics game engine books. I was a bit confused until I got my hands on this book. I was able to implement most of the physics that I needed with what I learnt in this book. Simply Amazing.

When I began developing games in earnest, one of the first books I was enthralled by was David M. Bourg's first edition of Physics for Game Developers, published way back in 2002. Being completely new to making games but easily lured in by the latest and greatest game dev books as they came out I waited for quite a while before actually taking the plunge and buying Mr. Bourg's book. After all, O'Reilly typically releases new editions every few years as technology changes and the information needed by the average reader changes with it. Surely, I thought, the second edition of Physics for Game Developers must be right around the corner.So with that in mind, I waited... and waited. In the meantime, I read through the most beginner of books discussing physics as a component of game development, books specifically intended to help intermediate developer, and even invested in a few large hardbound tomes specifically devoted to game physics and physics engine development. Finally, one day with visiting my favorite technical bookstore a year or two ago I happened upon a well worn used copy for Physics for Game Developers and bought it, resigning myself to never seeing a second edition made. After all, what had changed about physics that warranted a new version?Which brings us to 2013 and the release after more than a decade, of the second edition of Physics for Game Developers. So why the new edition?Well, for starters, the content has been significantly expanded upon, and the new edition is close to twice as long as the old one. Mostly responsible for this expansion is the inclusion of an extremely exciting new section (for game developers that is) devoted to digital physics-- that is, the physics associated with new gaming inputs and sensors, like touch screens, accelerometers, 3D input devices (think Kinect or Playstation Move), and even pressure sensors and GPS devices. Specific nuts and bolts discussion of the physics of these devices has been a long time coming in book form, and they don't disappoint. However, if you're looking for a basic discussion of these sensors (or for that matter any of the modeling discussed here), or for code tutorials, or if you're just getting started with programming, it might be best to look elsewhere to start with and return to this book once you've cut your teeth on a few Web tutorials or a beginner's book.This doesn't in any way reduce Bourg and Bywalec's book; I'm simply trying to say that this book is for intermediate programmers who have some knowledge of physics (and the mathematics involved with it) to start with. This also shouldn't be a surprise at all, since all a prospective reader needs to do is read the short section on "What We Assume You Know".As a reference for physics as it pertains to game programming, for my money this is just about the best book available of the subject, since it's succinct and well-written while remaining fairly comprehensive. Just about anything you could typically want to model in a game is discussed, from physics fundamentals and rigid-body dynamics (in Parts I and II) to physical modeling (in Part III). Instead of digging through a dozen lighter books for just that one example to help answer a question, I will always reach for this one. The inclusion of digital physics in this new edition has only improved its quality and utility.I would highly recommend Physics for Game Developers, specifically in its second edition, to intermediate game programmers who have at least a basic understanding of physics. This is an excellent, well-written reference for any concept in physics that pertains to game programming and to gaming sensors.

Helpful as a conceptual summary but useless for actually building a game. As others have pointed out the text references code samples that were never released. If you do go to the trouble to try to recreate the code from the provided snippets you'll find yourself fixing lots of bugs and still not end up with anything useable.
